I do because I can… (#1) and 35 to go…

So you may wonder why this blog has been almost silent for at least six months…  and you may think that I have procrastinated and or quit this blog completely!

With out excuses I will tell you, I have had a few really busy months working on material for this blog and coaching clients. Most of the time this work has gone hand in hand. With that said I have some really great material coming up, and I will also revise some of my old posts on here.

On a personal note I have made myself a little goal for this year, and that is to add 36 new posts on this blog by December 31st 2015.

Below is the first post of 36. Hints (#1)

 Motivation.

Where do you get your motivation from? Sports, TV, Music, people?

Personally I get my daily inspiration and motivation from a poster. A poster?

Yes I have a poster in my office that rings true for me every day. It says:

I do because I can

I can because I want to

I want to because you said I couldn’t

Think about that statement for a minute and see how that relates to you, or may relate to you in the future.

We all go trough things that happen to us, that can feel and look devastating at the time, or we embark on a journey that no one else seem to understand, and “helpful” people tell us all the reasons why we should not try to hard to change things, because they are good enough.

So I look at that poster every day and I feel a sense of motivation and inner drive, to keep on fighting and keep on walking my walk, and to prove everyone wrong that ever doubted me, or told me not to do something, because they didn’t think it was a great idea. No its not driven by anger, just a sense of self respect and personal responsibility, to finish what I started.

First of all the word good enough, really gets me going, because in my mind nothing, absolutely nothing is ever good enough… I don’t do good enough, and I don’t want you to do good enough. Always do the best you can and strive for perfection.

Second have the self respect to finish what you started, see things trough. Tough times don’t last, tough people do.

So what drives you, to do what you do?
